What is Made in the USA?

WOW!! There are so many things that are Made in the USA that I had no ideal about. For years I just bought things without even thinking about it, once I started checking where things are made I found out we can get almost everything we need made right here in America. The internet allows us to find anything we want with ease. There is a shopping site that only has Made in America Stores in it Petriot, it has a lot of unique items. American Made Everything is another shopping site and is also a directory that has stores that carry American Made items. Made in the USA Challenge has tons of stores and even has a Master List of Stores that carry Made in America items.  That is just to name a few there are more shopping sites and stores online that carry American made items. There is a lot of information about American Made products on the internet, just Google it and you will find it. AmericanToyBoutique.com is of course my favorite store for kids. We are always looking for more Kids toys, games, furniture or anything Kids enjoy that are Made in the USA and Eco-Friendly. Most things Made in the USA are safe and well built to last. Sometimes they do cost a little more but if you look at the big picture they are worth it. Buying Made in the USA products also boost the economy and that helps with the unemployment that America is dealing with right now. I am so much more aware now then I ever was before about how important it is to buy American made items. So I try to always look before I purchase. Checkers - Board Games Made in America

I remember growing up playing Checkers with my dad. He usually won but it was fun just hoping to beat him, plus spending the time with him. My brother would get so mad when dad would win (which was most of the time) he was not a very good sport. I don't think he ever really grew out of that. It was always fun though. I wish more kids played the simple games like Checkers. There are so many video games they would rather play and a lot of them are fun but it's just not the same as sitting down having the interaction with another person.  A simple game of Checkers can stimulate the brain development in younger children and promote healthy brain function in the elderly. Checkers requires a lot strategy to be good at it. You have to try to figure out where your opponent is going to move next. So many questions to ask yourself. Which jump is best for me? How can I get a double jump? Where is my opponent going to move next? It can be mind boggling! Thinking like this kicks your brain into overdrive and will force critical thinking. Most children that have been exposed to this kind of thinking at an early age show more potential in school. Young or old everyone can appreciate a good game of Checkers its one of the best games to play. A Mother and Grandmother

As a Mother and a Grandmother my heart breaks when I see any of my kids or grand kids hurting.  My youngest son and his kids are hurting today and it probably won't end anytime soon. I know God is in control and they will be fine. I am sure they will be better but it hurts to see them go through it. I think now more then ever we need to be there for them and take the time with the kids to let them know that no matter what they are loved. I have some little American Made Cars that I had bought to display for AmericanToyBoutique.com but I think I will probably play cars with my grandson today. I try to give all my grand kids attention as much as I can but most of them are older and only wants Grandma in short doses and that is OK a little is better then nothing. I love my grand kids with all my heart and all of them know it.
